Launched in February, 2011, WebActionHero is a GRC software built from the viewpoint of project actions. The foundation of WebActionHero is all about properly collecting, understanding, completing and managing project actions in a collaborative environment, so that project teams can operate more efficiently and be less prone to negative events due to poor completion of action plans. Our founder and CEO, Gary Karasek, is a 15 year energy industry professional safety engineer, with extensive experience in large complex projects around the world. You don't work in any industry as a safety engineer without gathering a few scars and a bit of wisdom. His recognition that there was a need to offer a more robust and efficient solution for managing project HAZOP actions led to the initial idea behind WebActionHero: "Allow engineers to upload spreadsheets with HAZOP actions and convert those actions into workflows!". Yes, we can do that... but we have moved the goal posts a lot since that original idea. By launch date, WebActionHero had morphed into risk management system that allows the collection of any project action via project forms (risk assessments, audits, change requests, minutes of meetings, interface agreements, document reviews etc...) and full project collaboration and reporting of those actions until they are closed. With all forms and workflows customized to the exact criteria of your project you can be assured that nothing gets past the goalie.
WebActionHero was developed by ViaPeak Inc. ViaPeak is a software company focused on risk management solutions for technical industries. ViaPeak is a subsidiary of Karasek Enterprises Limited, a consulting safety engineering company focused on the energy industry. ViaPeak leverages the knowledge gained from our experienced consultants into new software product ideas for the world.
